Minister Anite’s Mobilization Strategy Draws Crowds for Museveni in Nebbi, Zombo

President Museveni and the First Lady being welcomed by the mammoth crowd in Nebbi today.
NEBBI: When it comes to rallying support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the West Nile region, few match the prowess of Evelyn Anite, the State Minister for Investment and Privatization.
Anite consistently delivers impressive crowds for President Yoweri Museveni in West Nile, even on short notice.

Her ability to mobilize supporters was on full display in Nebbi, where she led hundreds in a vibrant march under the scorching sun from Goli to the venue of Museveni’s rally, approximately 10km along the Nebbi–Pakwach road.
Dressed in NRM’s signature yellow, Anite and the enthusiastic crowd sang and danced to local NRM songs, transforming Nebbi town into a sea of color and energy.
“My in-laws are thrilled to welcome the President. The excitement in Nebbi stems from the promise to construct the Nebbi–Goli road, a key pledge they have been eagerly awaiting. They are ready to give President Museveni 100 percent of their votes,” Anite declared.
She announced that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nebbi–Goli road is set for December 2025, with construction to begin immediately.

Additionally, a contractor, China 18, has been secured to rehabilitate the dilapidated Nebbi–Arua road, with funding already in place.
“Gen. Katumba Wamala, the Minister of Works and Transport, assured us in Cabinet last Monday that the funds are available, the contractor is ready, and the road will be built,” Anite said.
President Museveni echoed Anite’s assurances during his rally, promising swift action on the region’s poor roads.
“The Nebbi–Goli road, just 16km, will be done. If we can build 300km from Karuma to Koboko, how can we fail to do 16km?” Museveni remarked.
He criticized some implementers for neglecting maintenance of murram roads, allowing them to deteriorate.
“Even roads like Parombo and Wadelai should be maintained while awaiting tarmac. We will address these internal weaknesses, but the strategy is clear: you do your part, and I will handle the bigger picture,” Museveni said while urging locals to vote for the NRM.
He also encouraged the people of West Nile to leverage the country’s peace to drive economic development.
Accompanied by First Lady Janet Museveni, the President unveiled NRM flag bearers in Nebbi before heading to his next rally in Zombo district.
She isn’t the best otherwise she is great mobilizing for opportunity opposition.
