Another Fally Ipupa Atmosphere Returns to Arua
ARUA City: Arua is set to be in an escalating atmosphere as the legendary Awilo Longomba takes center stage at Eripak on August 30, 2024. The last time this excitement hit West Nile was when Fally Ipupa rocked the region, drawing in fans from as far as DR Congo and Tanzania. The event went straight into the history books of West Nile, a region where Lingala music is considered a big deal.
This time, the spotlight is on Fally Ipupa’s elder brother, Awilo Longomba, a well-branded Afro king known for his energetic stage performances and vocal Congolese rhythms. Awilo previously stormed Arua in 2019 at the Green Light Stadium, and due to overwhelming public demand, he’s making a highly anticipated return, thanks to the efforts of B.O.B Events and Outreach Entertainment for making Awilo’s return possible.

Awilo’s performances are termed gigantic by many Lugbaras who started following him as kids back in the day. Asianzu Passy, a big fan of Congolese music, says, “I don’t usually attend shows in Arua, but when a Congolese artist is in town, I make sure I don’t miss that event. They always deliver, and you never regret what you pay at the gate. I’m eagerly awaiting this Awilo event. Trust me, Eripak will ask for water.”
The event will also feature performances from local big dogs Monopoly Bad Character and Freedboy, with the legendary MCs Ziggy Zaga and Man Pato hosting the show.
Tickets are priced at 30,000 UGX for general admission, 100,000 UGX for VIP, 1,000,000 UGX for a table of five, and 3,000,000 UGX for a table of eight. The gates of Eripak will open at 2:00 PM, with security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all revelers.
